OT Systems’ Network Switches Secures Tanzania Power Plant CCTV System

The Tanzania power plant security project is featuring OT Systems’ Industrial Grade Optical Networking Switch ET42202XM-S-RP, ET8222PpH-S-DR and Hardened Grade Gigabit Media Converter ET1212PpH-SA-DR to offer a number of PoE IP cameras installed along the fence and inside factory buildings for perimeter protection up to 20km long extended transmission distance through fiber optic connection without adding additional infrastructure or cabling.

 

In this case, an ET8222PpH-S-DR hardened switch can connect up to 8 IP devices and 2-fiber combines the ends of ET1212PpH-SA-DR as well as the control room. OT Systems uses the point-to-point media conversion solution ET1212PpH-SA-DR to ensure the security and stability of data transmission across the site. Its output power is capable of supporting power hungry devices including PTZ IP cameras.
 
The ET42202XM-S-RP is designed with L2+ 4-port 10G SFP + 20-port of the 100/1000Base-SFP + 4-port of the 1000Base Combo with Redundant AC power inputs. It provides the flexibility to choose the 1000 Base-TX or SFP transceiver while supporting the transmission speed required to efficiently the 10G network.
