OT Systems

The System Integrator (SI) company has adopted OT Systems' IES8242MPpH-S-DR (L2+ Gigabit PoE Managed Ethernet Switch) and ET4222PpH-S-DR (Lite-managed Gigabit PoE Ethernet switches) for this project. These switches come with 4 and 8 PoE/PSE ports, capable of supplying up to 30-watt of PoE power per port, sufficient to support devices that require continuous power, such as PTZ cameras, wireless AP, solar power equipment, among others. Its unique intelligent PoE management features include PoE scheduling, Intelligent Power Recycling, PD alive checks (PoE watchdog) and PoE extending functionality. This allows users to remotely configure devices, control PoE power, and monitor real-time status through a web management interface. Additionally, the switches can extend transmission distances up to 250 km with 802.3at/bt PoE, resulting in energy savings and improved efficiency for the entire monitoring network application.

The IES8242MPpH-S-DR, a Layer2 plus hardened grade Managed 8-port 10/100/1000Base-TX (PoE+) + 4-port 100/1000Base-SFP Ethernet Switch, has been deployed among the main buildings to establish a fiber optic redundant ring and receive NVR recordings via remote data transmission (with 20/60/80 km of long-distance ranging, depending on the SFP module used). Each building is equipped with an independent IP surveillance system, necessitating networking connectivity throughout Lonbras Estate. This is achieved by creating a redundant network topology to ensure smooth and stable monitoring, network redundancy, and sufficient bandwidth for uninterrupted data transmission.

 

This digital surveillance network enhances overall security for residents, employees, and assets. Furthermore, high-resolution video recordings contribute significantly to residential security protection.
